Looking for a WaterColor photographer who knows the boardwalks, the lake and the beach like a local? WaterColor, Florida sits between Seaside and Grayton Beach on Scenic Highway 30A, wrapped around Western Lake, one of the rare coastal dune lakes on the Gulf. Pastel cottages, cedar boardwalks, Cerulean Park and a wide white beach give us more backdrops in one square mile than almost anywhere else on the Emerald Coast.
I am Amanda, your Santa Rosa Beach photographer, and WaterColor is one of the places I photograph most. Whether you are staying at the WaterColor Inn, in a cottage off Western Lake or a Gulf-front home, I will meet you where you are and guide you through a relaxed sunset session.

WATERCOLOR FAMILY BEACH SESSIONS
WaterColor family photos can start on the Western Lake boardwalk, wander through Cerulean Park and the Boathouse lawn, and finish on the beach as the sun sets. I keep things relaxed and playful so the kids stay happy (and the grumpy dads stay tolerable), and I guide you into natural moments rather than stiff poses. As your WaterColor family photographer, my goal is a gallery that looks the way your vacation felt.

WATERCOLOR SENIOR PORTRAITS
WaterColor senior pictures mix cottage porches, cedar boardwalks and lake reflections with the sugar-white sand at sunset. It is a favorite for seniors who want variety without driving between locations. Bring two to five outfits and let your personality lead. Every WaterColor senior session is guided, fun and built around the images you will actually want to frame.

WATERCOLOR ENGAGEMENT & COUPLES SESSIONS
WaterColor engagement photos and surprise proposals are perfect on the Western Lake boardwalk at sunset or the quiet beach at sunrise. If you are planning a proposal in WaterColor, I will coordinate the spot and timing, capture the moment, and then move you both into a full engagement session. Couples sessions here have a soft, storybook feel that translates beautifully into save-the-dates.
WaterColor Bumps + Babies
WATERCOLOR MATERNITY & NEWBORN SESSIONS
WaterColor maternity photos use the lake, the boardwalks and the open beach for movement, wind and light. For newborn beach sessions I keep it short, close to where you are staying and fully guided, and I bring the wraps, baskets and props so you can simply show up. Bump or baby, a WaterColor session documents this season beautifully.

The last hour before sunset is the most flattering light on the WaterColor beach and Western Lake, and it is when most of my WaterColor family sessions happen. Sunrise is a close second for families with young kids in summer: the boardwalks are empty and the temperature is easier.
The Western Lake boardwalk, Cerulean Park and the Boathouse lawn, and the WaterColor beach access at sunset. Grayton Beach State Park and Seaside are both within a few minutes if you want a second look in the same session.
My WaterColor sessions start with a session deposit that reserves your date and is credited toward your digital collection. Digital collections start at $1,475 for family, engagement, maternity and newborn sessions and $1,975 for senior sessions. No travel fee anywhere on 30A.
WaterColor is a private resort community with beach access for guests and residents. If you are staying in WaterColor, we can photograph on the boardwalks, in the parks and on the beach with no issues. I keep sessions small and respectful of homeowners and never use private porches or pools.
WaterColor sunset slots fill fast during spring break, summer and fall. Reach out as soon as you have your travel dates so we can lock in the best light. I keep a few sunrise openings for last-minute vacationers, so it never hurts to ask.
